Sailboat Charters in US Virgin Islands

The US Virgin Islands, a group of islands in the Caribbean, dotted around with many small islands.  The main islands in this group are St. Thomas, St. Croix, St John and Water Island.  The islands are volcanic with miles of pristine white sand beaches with clear azure blue waters and very popular with sailboat charter people.

St. John Island, the smallest of the islands is the location of US National Park which covers a major percentage of the island.  Tents and cottages are available and nice restaurants.  Trails through the forests and discovering the ruins of old sugar plantations dating back to the 18^th century.  Denmark sold St. John Island to the US in 1917.

There are many places to explore on the US Virgin Islands, forests, mangroves and salt ponds which are home to many different birds, animals and vivid colored flora.  The rainy season is September to November and the driest February to March.  Hurricane season is June to November.

For snorkelers and divers going to the beautiful Buck Island National Park the offshore reef is a paradise with so many exciting things to see.

St. Thomas is a place you can Shop 'til you drop, in the different shops and boutiques, finding all kinds of unique gifts and jewelry. A bonus is there is no sales tax.  Sailboat Charter people love St. Thomas with so many things to do: you can even go rock climbing for a couple of hours.  There are such a variety of well known restaurants serving delicious meals.

St. Croix is one of the most popular places to visit in the US Virgin Islands.

Christiansted is the capital and very cosmopolitan.  St Croix has the only casino in the islands. For the golfers there is an 18 hole very challenging course named Carambola where you can test your mettle on the green.  Tennis anyone? Buccaneer hotel has excellent courts and annual tournaments are held there.
